Come see us at the 59th annual Kutztown Festival in Kutztown, PA.

We are proud to be a featured presenter again this year at this historic event - bring the kids for a "mini barn raising" where we will be demonstrating the process of raising a barn by hand...little hands that is. All are welcome to participate.
Come out to meet the crew and see first-hand the technique and hand-cutting of a traditional timber frame!
We have a limited number of free tickets - click below to send us an e-mail requesting tickets - remember to include your name and address!
Bring your family to enjoy the finest in traditional crafts, food, music and folklife. Fun for all ages! 200 of Americas finest traditional craftsmen. Fascinating demonstrations and treasures you can take home.
Located in Southeastern Pennsylvania, the festival is just a short trip by car or bus from New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore and other parts of the Northeastern United States.
Demonstrations will run the gamut from farming and gardening to churches and weddings. Other exhibits will focus on Pennsylvania-Dutch dialect and folklore, spinning and weaving, country cooks, blacksmiths, furniture, candles and more.
On June 30, 2008, the Reading Eagle printed a story about Methods and Materials at the Kutztown Festival - check it out!

Read about how Jack Witherington, the owner and founder of Methods & Materials Building Company, created the company - if no less an authority than the Boston Globe felt that the story of Jack's success could be a source of inspiration for others, well, who are we to argue?
As Jack said in the article, "You only regret the things you never try."

We were there in 2007 and 2008 - check it out! The PA Energy Fest in Kempton, PA. Hope to see you there!
The PA Energy Fest is a three-day festival about renewable energy, natural building construction, sustainable agriculture, land-use planning, forestry and healthy living practices in general. It features dynamic speakers, national exhibitors, workshops, hands-on demonstrations, vendors, live music and entertainment, children's activities, food and more.
We have just completed crafting and installing our portion of the Dojo project - the trusses, roof and related framework. It was very satisfying to help this owner's 35 year dreams come true by building this large backyard studio (the main room is 30 by 40 with no inner posts). Now our client and his friends can practice the martial art of Kendo in his own dojo.
